Comprised of twenty odd tape-manipulation experiments and freak-out jams, The Faust Tapes stashes away some of the band's best-known songs.

Jul 09,  · Let me know if I've got any of the tracks in the wrong order because it's kinda hard to order them when they're all titled "Untitled" Track 13 of 26 from Faust - Faust Tapes.

'The Faust Tapes' is an awkwardly-glued collage of Faust's most avant-garde outtakes, spread over two anonymous sides of vinyl. Only three or four 'sections' of this album can even be adequately described as "music", the others being experiments with synthesised effects as well as manipulations of sound from an array of acoustic instruments/5(13).

The Faust Tapes were a collection of recordings the band was doing up to that point. Virgin sold it for 49p, the price of a single in the UK at the time. One can only imagine the reaction of kids on a limited budget what they were getting into when they bought this, on pocket change! The music has a /5().
